ABSTRACTS

Call for Papers

The deadline for Registration and submission of Abstracts is extended till April, 25th, 2005!

Contributions are sought on any of the conference topics A-F. Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts in English, by April 1st 2005. Abstracts submitted after this date cannot be published in the Book of Abstracts. Authors will be notified about acceptance before May 1st 2005.

The contributed papers will be presented as oral presentation or in form of posters. The selection will be made by the Scientific Committee. Majority of studies will be presented as posters. Each poster session will be concluded by a round table discussion led by the Chairman of the session. Authors will have an opportunity to present a slide with conclusions of their work. The most interesting posters will be awarded by practical awards. There is time for about 80 papers to be presented as oral contributions (20 minutes including the discussion). The poster stands have area 100 cm (width) x 200 cm (height)!

Abstracts must be prepared in Word for Windows using the template file and submitted electronically as an e-mail attachment in Reach Text Format to the Conference Secretary (bester@icsc2005.si) by April 1st 2005. Please include the word ‘Abstract’ and the family name of the presenting author in the subject line (abstract-author.rtf), and list your full name and affiliation in the message body. References should be cited as superscript numbers and should be placed at the end of the abstract as in the example below.

Congress Publications

The Book of Abstracts and the Conference programme will be available at registration. Please note that only the abstracts submitted by those authors, who paid the registration fee on time, can be included in the Book of Abstracts.

As for the preceding ICSC meetings, a conference volume is planned for the forthcoming 29th ICSC. The contributions (oral and poster) will be collected and published in a special issue of the Journal of Molecular Liquids ( http://authors.elsevier.com/JournalDetail.html?PubID=500849). Manuscripts should be prepared in the appropriate format for this Journal and will be subjected to the regular review procedure.

Papers based upon the plenary or invited lectures of a Conference will be offered for publication in an issue of the official IUPAC journal, Pure and Applied Chemistry ( http://www.iupac.org/publications/authors/index.html).
